We planted the first commercial hops to be grown in NY since Prohibition in 1999. Since that time the craft brew industry has grown tremendously in New York and the rest of the Northeast.
Our first customer, Ithaca Beer Company, produced a beer made entirely of NY hops in 2004. Since that time we have sold hops to many craft breweries in New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
We offer fresh hops to local breweries at harvest time. This specialized product is only available at harvest. The brewery must pick up the hops and use them in their beer within hours.
These special harvest beers are eagerly anticipated each year.
Hops that are not sold as fresh are dried and sold either as dried, whole cones or are pelletized and packaged.
We are active in the Northeast Hops Alliance. Rick often speaks at meetings in New York and other states about hops production.
